I washed my hands in the muddy water

Hedging at Meal Hill. We were; Dan, Philip, Tanya, Jim, Hap, Asad, Dianne, Richard, Judith, Stephen, Ben, Dave, Sophie, myself, and Cath. Geoff and Jess were at Wilberlee finishing off last week's stretch. 500 plants in total.

2025/26 Season

We are a registered charity and group of volunteers, who plant native species trees in and around the Colne Valley. Occasionally there will be remarks on facebook that suggest we are a threat to all that lovely moorland. We are flattered that some people think a dozen volunteers could cover the thousands of hectares of moorland with trees. In fact, we plant responsibly, and always with the permission and support of landowners. The Pennines are one of the most heavily regulated areas in the UK for tree planting, its a wonder we get anything done.
